Robotic Cochlear Implantation for Direct Cochlear Access

Robot-assisted systems offer great potential for gentler and more precise cochlear implantation. In this article, we provide a comprehensive overview of the clinical workflow robotic implantation using system specifically developed minimally invasive, direct access. The involves experts from various disciplines requires training to ensure smooth safe procedure. protocol briefly summarizes history sequence is explained in detail, beginning with assessment patient eligibility covering surgical preparation, preoperative planning special software, drilling middle ear access, intraoperative imaging confirm trajectory, milling inner insertion electrode array, implant management. steps that require attention are discussed. As an example, postoperative outcome advanced otosclerosis presented. Finally, procedure discussed context authors' experience.
